Meet Matt Riffey
Long-time Queen Creek resident Matt Riffey’s business experience and belief in parental school choice played important roles in his first term as QCUSD Board Member.
The knowledge he gained over the last four years will benefit students and parents as the District faces new challenges during a second term as Queen Creek School Board Member.
Matt and his family have lived in Queen Creek for 20 years. He has worked for Intel Corporation almost 30 years.
PRIORITIES FOR A SECOND TERM:
- To help ensure that students have a safe place to learn by supporting policies and procedures aimed at student and staff safety.
- Ensuring that the district hires quality teachers and staff to set students up for academic success.
- Keep staff’s politics out of the classroom. Learning about the political process is critical but knowing how a teacher votes, is not.
- Supporting wise approaches to spending and encouraging the district to look for ways to cut costs without effecting student safety, staff morale or positive student outcomes.
- Listening to parents and staff when issues arise and fairly assess situations.
- Supporting initiatives that enable staff to continue their education and professional development.
- Creating and supporting clear policies that reflect the vision of the district.
- Enabling creative approaches to the growth we experience here.
Meet Patty Campbell
“We need to continue making good decisions that will not only benefit our children, but to help recruit and retain exceptional teachers and staff to educate our students to the highest level!“ - Patty Campbell
